Thomas and others:
Came upon this software application, it's a productivity program called Smart Sheets. Provides task management and tracking on cloud basis, has some nice features and can be used for a multitude of needs, such as sales recruiting, project management, etc.. Wanted to see how it compares to a Project Organizer application I built using TSBPro. So, I tried Smart Sheets out on a free trial basis. The basic version subscription per month is $9.95 and that is for one user only, and doesn't provide Gantt chart features. For Gantt chart options the fee is $29.95 per month. For those interested in viewing the product go to www.smartsheets.com. I wouldn't pay $29.95 a month though.

Geez!! I can't even get the url correct. It's www.smartssheet.com. Sorry about that chief.
For those that haven't seen the program it resembles a spread sheet with rows and columns for data entry and managing tasks. It offers discussion links where others can email the originator and contribute to a project as well as outsourcing. So it has a collaboration feature. Outsourcing allows the user to ask questions of workers who can see only the columns you want them to see and the attached questions the originator has about items in those columns. Seems clunky to me. And those features cost $29.95 a month for one user. That's a stiff tax!
And since it is cloud based it presents all of the problems associated with cloud based computing, such as security, etc. It's a good benchmark though for what the cost is of a productivity program.

Holy Louise! I still can't get the url right! It's www.smartsheet.com with only one "s" in the middle. I think I got it right this time. It is worth a peek.

Thanks John. hehe
It gave me some ideas. One thing I want to roll out with the Pro version is the ability take monthly payments or the software will inactivate. I am still working out the logistics of this.
