Label Customization Question

Hi Thomas,

I've added a label to the leftmost column in one of my software windows. But when I try to make the label box narrower, it stops at a certain point even though there's still quite a bit of blank space between the label text and the right border of the label box.

I tried to edit the software model. In LayoutManagerOptions, I changed both Item to Border Horizontal Distance and Item to Item Horizontal Distance to 5 from 10. But it didn't work.

I also tried a value of 2.

I couldn't find any other horizontal distance options.

It looks like there's a minimum width for labels. Is there a way to change that minimum column width to make it smaller?

Can you post a picture of what your talking about. I am having a hard time understanding.

Hi Thomas,

By accident, I figured out the answer myself.

If you're having trouble resizing any item (including a label) on a software object window, remove everything from the window but the item you want to resize and then you can make the label or field as narrow as you want.

Sorry if the question sounded like gibberish, Thomas. I'm sure the answer did, too. But it's all good. I figured it out.
