This is an awesome place if you want to hit some big niches.

One thing to remember, is to make your software name based on keyword research. I noticed some nice traffic for pdf creation keyword. I named my software with those words in the title and uploaded to the directories. Sometimes I make them opt into my lists to activate and other times I do not.

Download.com is a major site and should be done by hand.

The keywords in the title do make a difference.

Is there any online storage and file delivery service you recommend for those of us who have limited shared band width in our web site server. Most of the time our database is more than 40 meg which is not even allowed with many shared web host. Thanks

I use Amazon S3 storage a lot for files. You can still automate delivery with most scripts.
