I recently developed an inventory software, and when researching other
competing softwares, I found that very little of the available softwares
can be used for business purposes, as a federal agency requires these
programs to have an AUDIT TRAIL -

The new ruling requires that an audit trail be kept of any changes made to any entries in an electronic bound book. (Competing software product name omitted) does not keep such a record so it no longer qualifies under the new ruling.

I was bumming out after I read that, as I had been developing this program over a period of a few months,
and was hoping to distribute for business use as well as personal use.

But.. I remembered TSB has that feature, and guess what - that Audit trail feature in TSB just put me in the running over half the softwares out there for this niche!!!

I cant reveal the niche, im sorry, but thought i would pass this on - who would would have thought an audit trail feature would have put my software immediately ahead of half of the pack!!! Its definitely going to be a very strong selling point with these businesses that use this type of software.

Well, back to development - got to get this audit trail feature integrated, and have some additions to make to the software to bring it into compliance with regulations... :)

Woo Hoo!!!

Pretty cool news, Howard.

I don't think people really think much about the Audit trail since most focus on individual consumers rather then the very lucrative b2b markets.

That is where the security and audit trails will impress and should be used when selling.

Data is incredibly important to businesses and they do want systems in place to protect it.
