*Feature Request* Ability to add Images for Records

I figured by adding the feature request in the title it could help keep track of feature ideas until enough exist to warrant a separate forum.



I was thinking of creative ways to use the software, and thought the ability to import an image into an object would be great, especially if it could also be somehow shown in a grid / printout form...

Here's where I see this idea in use:

Shoe Tracking Software - Users can create a database / record of all shoes they own, with a picture of each shoe's color / model for easy tracking and lookup. (Sort shoes by Club wear, dinner wear, price, heel etc.)

Vacation Tracking Software - Track your vacations, where you went and stayed, costs, tourist memories, and the ability to upload a memorable picture of the trip.

etc.

but also for Commercial Use:

Inventory Product List - Great for retailers or brand new wholesalers who want to create an excel product listing of their current inventory, details of the products, and a thumbnail(s) images of the products for distributors to use on their own sales pages for the products.


I think this addition would greatly enhance the market potential for the software for everyone! I believe the import ability exists (but its limited to one file imported into the software as a whole I believe?)

This idea is more of the ability to show a thumbnail image for each OBJECT, especially if it could be in a grid form for easy printing and viewing.

Would this be difficult? Possible addition? Thoughts?

Hello Dex,

The software already has a means of adding images. When you construct a software object, just add an editor that uses the image function. You will have an image editor. Or, you can make an editor using the html editor function and that will work too. Either is easy to add.

In fact, almost any type of software we build ought to have a place for a picture. A picture...is worth a thousand words! :D
