Hello everyone,

This is my first time here. I'm looking to design a workout tracking software that will allow me to do things like track the progress in certain exercises and allow me to chart and report my progress (sets, reps, weight, rest period etc etc) over time. Also, would like it to be able to give a percentage on how much time has been dedicated to certain body parts over a certain period of time. I'm sure there is other things, but I'm just thinking off the top of my head. Does this sound like something that is possible to do with Tiger Software? Right now I just want to build it for my own personal workout tracking, but who knows maybe I can sell it aswell!

I know from the home page there is an express version and a pro version, but I didn't see a link to buy the pro version. Can only certain people purchase this software? I def. want to have reporting and charts to be available with my workouts and such. Should I go with the pro version?

This is great software and I think if you have an idea you can make it happen in Tiger Software. When you go into purchase the Express program you are offered an option to purchase the Pro for a lot cheaper than normal. Don't make the mistake I did and upgrade at the cheaper price. I love this program. How often does a non programmer get the opportunity to create killer apps.

Yeah, it sounds like you could build something like that with ESB.

As Paul stated, the cheapest route is to purchase the Express and upgrade right away. Otherwise it will cost more in the long run.

Personally, I wouldn't purchase if this is something just for yourself. I would only purchase if you are going to sell your own program.

My software is priced higher just because people use it to make income. You won't get charts with Express but I do have to say Pro is a lot more expensive.

Have you looked at something like an older version of Microsoft Access?

Thanks Thomas. Well I do have Microsoft Access 2010. I actually thought about that. What is the price for pro if I upgraded as soon as I bought Express? I would never rule out the fact about sell it, especially if it turned out well. Thanks for your help.

I don't quote prices on the forum since they are subject to change. People tend to find those types of posts and want it for that price. I like to save myself future headaches that way. :)
