I am confused when trying to set up a calculation. Could I have an example of what to input into the fields. Such as the "Expression" field, etc.
Thanks,
Alton

Hi Alton,
What type of calculation are you trying to implement?
Maybe we can show you by using that as an example.

Hello Thomas,
Something like... the information in the first field times the information in the second field equals the answer in the third field. For example, if someone drove x number of miles and filled up the car with y number of gallons of gasoline, what would their mileage be?
Thanks,
Alton

Gotcha,
Ok first of all there won't be a third field. The calculation is a field. So you would take the first field * the second field. That is it.
The calculation will show up on the window, as a editor, and display that calculation. You can change the the calculation field to be a text field, currency , decimal or numeric for displaying the answer.
Edited:
For the mileage example.
You would have a field for the amount of miles you can drive on a full tank.
You would have a field for how many gallons your car can carry.
Create a calculation field that will display the mileage per gallon.
Add this formula into the field.
Miles On Full Tank Field / Number Of Gallons Your Car Can Carry Field
Does this make sense?

Problem solved. I will try to find something harder to explain tomorrow. LOL. Thanks.

I plan on doing videos on everything. I want to how it all comes together and do videos showing each area like calculations. It seems like my work is never done. lol
Glad you got it working.

I had this problem when I started a calculation, I created the answer fields first and then I created the calculations and figured it out.
I have a question though or a feature request.
How can I make a calculation to add the answers together, without making a super long string.
Like I want to add a+b=c
d+e=f
c+f=total
This is just a simple example.
Is there any way to call up the previous answers or calculations in new calculations?

Currently, you can't add other calculations to calculations.
That will be something I will look at implementing in the future. I can see a lot of support problems in the future, if implemented, though. :D

Well maybe or maybe not, the support problems I mean.
For instance, when I was making long calculations i got an error
about the calculation being too long (over 100 characters I think), or nested calculations not allowed.
This may avoid these problems.
Steve
I don't remember the exact errors, but if I come across them again, I will post.

Does this mean nothing resembling a spreadsheet is possible? I mean, there's a full featured word processor. Aren't math calcs more useful in software, generally speaking?
