and also multiple photo editors?

I would test it out, but I don't want to crash the program and risk messing it up, so just seeing in advance.

If I wanted to allow the end user to upload and store 3 images, and 3 files in the same software object, is that possible?

or is it one file, one photo at a time per software object?

Hey Dexx,
You can use as many photo editors as you want but I don't know about the file editor as I have not found a use for it yet.
Do you have any Ideas for its use?
Steve

I have used multiples of each in the same object. But, they must have unique names. I use a different number for each object and incorporate that number within the name of each editor. For example...

Image 1 Editor 19
the caption would be Image 1

Image 2 Editor 19
the caption would be Image 2

Image 3 Editor 19
the caption would be Image 3

Image 4 Editor 19
the caption would be Image 4

Then, when I make the next object, if I move on the number 20, I would have...

Image 1 Editor 20
the caption would be Image 1

Image 2 Editor 20
the caption woiuld be Image 2

Image 3 Editor 20
the caption would be Image 3

Image 4 Editor 20
the caption would be Image 4

Hopefully, in a few days, this wont be necessary any more.

One thing I thought of for the file editor was to store purchased ebooks, etc. You could have a picture of the ebook cover and load the ebook into the file editor, then instead of looking all over your hard drive, you just open it from within the software.

Mike, Alton, Dexx:

Good posts.
Hadn't thought of this issue before.

Alton: thanks for the clear heads up on naming conventions. Naming convention has tangled me up in the past to no end.

Mike: very helpful suggestion. You just showed me how to tie e-book directly to an application without having to create surplus links. Will make it much easier for the user to locate needed material.

Thanks!

Hi Guys,

As for the file editor, I have made a zip file of as many as a hundred letters in file folders and a zip file of 200 pictures and I was able to open the zip file and use the letters and pictures. I did not check to see if the letters would open though before creating the software. I know you cannot just put a regular folder name of letters in the file editor but a zip file will show the separate folders after it is opened. Like I said I did not try to create the software with the zip file listed but maybe if you plug the zip file in and run the zip file during customization, close it down and then run create the files might be on the software. Just a thought! I will try it the next time.

I tried to do it as listed above but without success. I can only use the zip files if they are added to the individual file after the software is created. Sorry
