I'm not sure where to place this, but the login boxes on the new site aren't working. I also had sent you an email with some other problems with same, but the email bounced. So . . .since I don't know what to do to get into the site, and found some issues, I've pasted my email below. :) Thanks for noting, and for letting me know when these are resolved. Olaina

Hi Thomas!

A couple of things:

When you signup at the site, the form doesn't display the text. I'm assuming because your form is light colored, that your text was left white like the rest of the site, making it unreadable.

I used my google form filler, and was able to signup, but someone less determined might just leave. ;)

Also, your audio is terrible! The sound barely comes through, and it fades in and out from audible to garbled. Sorry, but I figure you'd rather know about this, and I tried it on 2 of my computers, so it's NOT on 'this end', lol.

Just one other thing. You fly so quickly through your videos that someone that doesn't know the program well, (like me!) can barely follow what you are doing! I'm sure the audio working would have helped, but I'll have to start and stop the videos a hundred times, just to know how to proceed to the next step.

OK, now that the complaining is out of the way, the site otherwise 'looks' great. I have always liked black backgrounds, and I think you've laid things out very nicely.

I know you'll understand that I'm not criticizing, and only trying to help you. At least you are brave enough to do some videos! I've been procrastinating about it big time, and I KNOW I need to do it, I'm just plain chicken sh*t.
(Pardon my English.)

I wish you every success, and I hope you won't get mad for my pointing out these minor issues.

God bless,
Olaina

I tried login using Internet Explorer and got the same problem you did---Could not get cursor to the name field. I then tried using firefox and it worked fine---you may want to try in another browser.

I have tried everything I can think of in Internet Explorer--deleted cookies, history, etc. but it will not work---so I just use firefox.

Hope that helps,
Glenn

Thanks for the feedback.

I will take a look and try to figure out the loggin issues.

I will also try to slow it down with the videos. The audio will be rectified once I buy myself a new headset, my old one broke and I had to borrow one which was terrible. I still needed to get something up there to get people started. I will try to put some document tutorials together to make up for the videos.

Thanks,

Thomas

Thomas, you might want to look at ScreenSteps for making documentation.
http://www.screensteps.com/

Their tagline is: "the documentation tool for people that don't want to do documentation".

Has a 30 day trial... :)

Good try at delegating, I'm still trying to learn how things work, I doubt I could make a manual. Next week is 100% time spent on TSB, if I get up to speed, maybe I can help you somehow.

I hope ScreenSteps saves you some time. I will use it someday to make sales letters. (hint hint everybody)

Keep up the great work and the jokes, love 'em.

You can't blame a guy for trying. hehe

I just downloaded that software and will try it out. I have to go out and get a new headset tomorrow and redo 3 videos I shot today. Lovely. lol

Thanks Taylor, Screensteps is a great find. I downloaded the demo and find it does some things a lot easier than Help & Manual. Specifically the screen capture and editing. It may not be as useful if you are creating an extensive, long winded manual, which far too many people do, but for a quick, down and dirty, here's all you need to know to operate the program, I think it will work great.

And it costs waaaaaaay less money :)

Ahh, I see you finally got your smileys working. Was it the User CP and edit--to fix? Or, was Thomas just being mean to you?:p
I was looking and found the fix above--was about to post---but then saw this post with the smiley.

I may try it out for some quick tutorials myself.
