Problem brought to my attention

In regards to that software in my WSO:

Dexx,
I must say I am having problems with this software. First, it loads and saves VERY SLOWLY. Then I noticed that ever since I downloaded it, my MS Word is not responding properly, it is also slow to respond, (cut & paste, save, etc.) Now I find that I am (so far) unable to uninstall. I have tried with the built in uninstaller, and have also tried from the control panel in windows, and I can't get it to uninstall. It is saying the installer is not correctly installed.

Can you help out? I need to get this off my computer.

I responded back asking her what O/S she is using, and if the problems have been occurring the whole time.


I also mentioned the fact that if other programs are being affected, that there's a chance she might have spyware / virus on her comp which is messing things up and to do a scan (obviously not related to my program)

Has there been any other reports of this happening tho? Its the first of its kind to my knowledge for me at least

I haven't had any problems. The program does load a bit slow, but once it's running there's no problems. I install and uninstall mine all the time with no problems. Never affected Word at all.

My operating system is Windows XP. My antivirus/spyware scanners are run regularly. The last time was yesterday morning. From the very first time I opened the software, my computer just seemed to bog down. I closed it, and everything was ok, except for when I was working with documents in Word. The next time I opened it, same thing. I tried to put some data into it, and it took a very long time to save one file. When I tried to uninstall, it said the uninstaller was not properly installed. (Error message within your software.) I tried to remove it through the add/remove function in the control panel, it would not remove. I tried to reinstall the software, to see if it would correct the problem, and got the same error message as above. I also tried to remove the software through c cleaner, that didn't work either. I ultimately had to do a system restore to an earlier date. Every thing on my computer is now as it should be. Hope this helps you.

It more than likely has something to do with her computer. Some type of software installed. I have word on my computer and it runs just fine.


The software does run slower because it is pulling in a lot of references at first. Once those references are loaded, it runs faster.


Sometimes you get people that are paranoid about installing software. All of the sudden all their programs are running slower because of the software they just installed.
