Hey Thomas,
For the most part, so far so good on the new release. But I built and compiled something this afternoon and noticed that the compiled (.exe) file still offers the user the opportunity to change the layout when you right-click in the application. I definitely don't want to give people the to opportunity to mess with it in that way.
Is this an error?

Hi Steve,
Is the customize coming up after you installed the software you created?

Yes. So even as a .exe, I can right-click and open up the customization environment.

It depends on how you are opening it. I am still unsure how you are running the software.
Is this something you created a setup for and installed it?

Yes- created the setup and installed it--which should lock down the customize stuff.

Thanks Steve. I will take a look at this. I may have turned the customization on in order to test it and forgot to turn it off.

Yep, that is what happened. I turned customization on to test and forgot to turn it off. Once I figure out why the brander and object relationships are not showing up I will upload the fixes.
Thanks Steve,
Thomas

Here is something I spotted when I ran a software. When you click on Miscellaneous at the top left and then open the help file, it always opens the help file for the TSB instead of the particular software application that has been opened. I can't seem to change it in the setup. Does it have to be in the form of a .pdf or can it go to a url instead?

Alton, is this when you test the software or actually install one that you created?
I don't know if it is showing up for you (seems a few things are not which I am working on right now) but there will be a pdf help file field on your software project.
Thanks,
Thomas

I just did the software run, I did not actually install the software. I wudda, but it sounded like you were going to make a few corrections, so I didn't. I can do that in the morning if you want. I don't have access to it tonight.
I did fill in the field in the builder for the help file pdf and I put a url in the field for the help file url. Are we supposed to have both?
I only had a couple of hours on this today. But, I had no errors and it seems to be working fine. Do we still need to focus on using unique names in our objects and editors?

The help file will be the physical location to the pdf file you want to include in your software. That won't be a website url.
This will only work when you install the software. If you click the help button (as of right now) you will get the tsb help file. That is because of the different directories that are being used. When you install your created software, the pdf file will be added to the main directory for your user to view once they click on the help button.
You don't need to test it until later. I have been using this myself but than again I have a brander check box and you don't. haha just kidding.
Hopefully what I said makes sense.

Are you sure you have a brander check box, Thomas? None of us have ever seen it. :D
