Hi Thomas,

I noticed that I am unable to delete software Objects that I created. It gives me different messages depending on the object I want to delete. It says unable to connect to data base.

I have tried the repair feature as far as uninstall goes but continue to have the same problem.

Has anyone else had the same problem? When I installed the update I exported my layouts to a file before installing the update but did not delete the old files. I deleted the layouts I exported from my computer but still have the problem that I cannot delete a software object from the grid screen of software objects. I delete the object get the error message and then I press ok on the error message it is removed from the grid only temporary until I do my next move and it is back in the grid.

I hope this makes sense.

Does this happen when you shut down the software and reopen it?

Hello Thomas,

Yes it does. I have rebutted my computer and it still does it when I open the program and try to delet the software object from the grid.

Can anyone else confirm this problem please. I can't reproduce it here.

Thanks,

Thomas

I cannot confirm this problem. I was successful today in deleting an object created weeks ago. So, I cloned an object created yesterday with the latest version of TSB and was successful in deleting it. No errors.

Hi Roland,

Did you uninstall the original first? If not try to uninstall the software and install it again. It won't delete your data.

Thanks,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

I uninstalled and then downloaded the software again. I installed the new program and that fixed the problem with not being able to delete any software object but there is still one object that it will not let me delete.

I think maybe if I go to the C drive and delete all my TSP files and then install all will be ok! Tell me what you think of that. I know I will have to create all the software objects again but then hopefully all will be well.

Roland, if you don't delete the builder.tsb file than you won't lose your data. If you want, send me your builder.tsb file and I will test out the object for you.

Thomas,

I email the Builder.TSB file to you. Hope you received it.

Roland, I seem to be able to delete mine with no problems but am having problems with your object. I am going to continue testing this to try to figure out what is going on.

Can you create a new Object, add a few editors and save it. Try closing down the software , reopening the software and delete that newly created object.

Thanks,

Thomas

Hello Thomas,

Sorry I couldn't get back sooner. Yes, I can create new objects and delete them. The only one I cannot delete is the FamilyBudget. Everything else works fine.

Thanks,

Roland
