Hi Thomas,

I've successfully run through a build process. I gave the install build a name of "test.exe" and that file was created.

When I run test.exe to install the new software (as a customer would do), it runs fine and installs the software. The name of the executable coming out of that step is TSBClient.exe.

When I run TSBClient.exe it starts up the software I created. No issue. That's the only executable listed in the folder after the test.exe file was run.

Did I miss a step somewhere to configure the name of the new software executable and since I missed that step it defaults to TSBClient.exe?

I configured it to create a desktop shortcut and it was created with the correct name, so no issue there.

Thanks,
Rick

Rick,

The exe is always named tsbclient.exe. You did not miss a step. I, too, wish there was a way to change that, but at the moment, it does not seem possible.

So how is it that you can create and run multiple Tiger Software programs if they all will have the same .exe name?

All software is installed in its own directory so the file name doesn't matter as far as installs are concerned.

Hi guys,

Jonathon is right (as he usually is :) )

I like to place shortcuts on my desktop, so I just change the name under the icon and then I can tell which cute little Tiger is which. :D

Before you build your software, click the Quick Launch Shortcut and/or Desktop Shortcut in the Installation tab and it will create shortcuts with the name of your software on either the quicklaunch, desktop, or both, depending on what you clicked off. This will give your client a shortcut with the actual name you used when creating the software.
