I haven't seen it mentioned in these forums yet, but then again, I haven't read every thread.

For those of you who are interested in giving away your software in hopes of up-selling brand-able version or one with more features, you might be interested in contacting the owner of this website:

http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/

Here's a tip (even if you don't want to give your software away)...

Subscribe to this website.

There are tons of great softwares they give away everyday, but what's better is that you can see, touch and feel other softwares that are being developed. And since everything is free (and virus-scanned) this should be a no-brainer! :D

Hey Primo, this site has indeed been mentioned several times now, or perhaps I read th 1 post several times, heheh. In any case, the last point you hit is SPOT ON...

I have started surfing the net for any software app with a free trial, and I was able to compile a list of applications longer than my life span will allow... The best part is that there are quite a few software apps which I was able to contact the creator for and have partnered up with a few to do some JVing for each other...

Furthermore... I am able to see exactly what functions each application has, and even better, what functions each app FAILS to offer which enables me to build a bigger/better app...

If anyone is reading this thread, I strongly urge you to dive right in to the advice given by Primo above...

Also, for those who are not familiar with the GOTD site, they also have a sister site "Game of the Day" which gives out a free game every day... Some of the games are quite childish, however, with several tikes in my house, 1 new game per day has really helped keep me sane ;)
