no go...(3rd download...all downloads come down no problems)
1. i am installing via 'run as administrator'
2. old version uninstalled, registry cleaned
3. cache/temp folder ect... emptied
4. tried unziping to folder...then run install exe from there even.
Installer looks like it'll finish then that error on window
then this displayed (see pic)

5. Tried downloading with Opera..same.
Its OBVIOUS that its NOT the file and it seems to fail (when carefully watching it install) when it gets to creating a shortcut.
Not sure whats causing it...arrhh :D

Ill try some other things...let me know if you or anyone thinks of anything else....ta

Robbie

ps: there has been alot installed since other version on there ...

Robbie, after doing some research it seems this may be related to your computer setup. Can you tell me more about your computer setup please?

What windows version?

What drive you have it installed on?

What country you are living in?

Thanks,

Thomas

My favorite place in the whole world, Australia. :)

Robbie, do you have a c:|Program Files or a c:\Programs? You said it crashed when trying to create the shortcuts?

From my research, it sounds like my setup is looking for a path and that path doesn't exist.

Thanks,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,
its c:\program files but like an organised fellow i install it in c:\internet\tsb express
I did try default install but same.
Its not the builder exe, i knew that from start, its funny....only now i came across
a niche that would be great for a piece of software i have spinning in my head
and when i visited the forum, noticed there was an update...i should have left
the previous version on...lol....it was working, always the way hey...lol :D

Your helps appreciated but its not your end thats the prob....i have a few things to try
If you think of anything or i beat you to it ill let you know & vice versa hey?
Go and give your wife a long back massage and get off the blasted computer
will ya....lol :D:D
seeYa,
Robbie

Well, i did a system restore to last week and the older version tsbexpress works.
I tried installing without uninstalling previous, as it asked last time about uninstalling older
version and did it itself.

I made a camtasia of whats going on if thats any help Thomas:

install error video (http://datacord.com.au/tsb/errors.html)

Robbie, do me a favor and try installing it to the default folders. It may be a problem with my installation when someone picks a different install folder.

Thanks,

Thomas

That folder exists,
also downloaded at my time 6.30am and tried that exe
but you may not have uploaded it yet...as that did same thing
ill try tonight. I moved the old tsb folder to another part
of c: and renamed folder and ran old tsb from there...so...is it
possible to zip ME up and uncompressed install already
and if i copy to that folder it should go as all the dependencies
for the dlls and files are registered there...know what i mean ?

i reckon that'd do it...for now anyway,
Robbie

PS:....just reloged on...why not zip me up the 'changes' since last build i had
and if i copy them to that old folder it should go..yes??
just a last minute thought...

I can do that but it will be a pretty big download. I do want to figure out what is happening on your computer.

I will zip up the dlls and send you a download link.

Hi Robbie,

I just uploaded a new version. Can you try it again please. We really need to figure out why it isn't installing because there will be more updates.

Thanks,

Thomas
