Hi Thomas

Dean again, I noticed that others have had similar errors when compiling.
----------------------
Error during build: Access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000
-----------------------
I am using Windows Vista Premium 64 bit

I did notice that it works on my old XP Pro computer. The problem with that is (it is dying).

Do you have a fix for the 64bit?

I have had this issue since the beginning with the Pro and we have written extensively.

Thanks for your help and let me know if you need anything.

Dean

Hi Dean,

Do you have a c:\Program Files\Installaware folder? If not copy it there and try it again.

I am also assuming you downloaded the latest from the membership site.

Thanks,

Thomas

having similar problem to Dean. Your last message needs some clarification. Copy the .exe file to Installaware folder in x64 bit program files? That's the only location I have for Installaware folder; no such folder in 32 bit program files. Did you mean to say to create an Installaware folder in 32 bit Program files? And just copy into the Installawre folder or one of the files inside of Installaware folder?
Thanks,
JWB

I was talking about the whole Installaware folder into the 32 bit program files folder.

Thomas:
copied Installaware folder from Program Files in 64 bit directory into Program Files 32 bit. Then tried create setup. To no avail. Get quick screen showing build starts but then screen quits and nothing happens. Looked in all the places I could think of but exe file didn't install.
64 bit machine is running Vista Home Premium. I'm about to purchase another 64 bit machine, desktop, but am now hesitant to do so even though the new desktiop will run windows xp. Only place I can build and install TSBPro is on a 32 bit machine running XP which is old and likely to fail any day.
Has anyone successfully installed TSBPro on a 64 bit machine?
Thanks,
John Burns

Hi John,

Can you check your registry for the following line.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MimarSinan\InstallAwar e\2.0\Plug-Ins

Click on the individual folders within the Plug-ins and let me know where on your computer they are pointing to.

Thanks,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

I copied the Installware folder to c:\Program Files\

You need to maintain the folder in both directories for 64 bit and it works great.

c:\Program Files\Installware
c:\Program Files (x86)\Installware

Simply copy from the Program Files (x86) folder and paste a copy in the main Program Files folder.

Hope this helps and thanks for the fix.

got the 64 bit to handle TSBPro. Did copy Installaware into Program Files directory for 32 bit. Tried to locate files you referenced in registry but was unsuccessful. Did a search of the registry and still couldn't find MimarSinan\InstallAwar e\2.0\Plug-Ins. Don't know what the devil was going on. Reinstalled TSBPro and tried the create setup again on the application I had created and it was successful.
Did a research of the registry and still couldn't find MimarSinan\InstallAwar e\2.0\Plug-Ins. However, the problem seems to be solved.
Kind of spooky, eh?
