Hi Thomas,
I have the Combo Box Editor configured and have entered about 10 entries for a field. I save it and do some other stuff.
When I go back to enter more, I can arrange them in ascending or descending order and save it. But when I run the software and select that field, the entries are not in ascending or descending order. They look like they are in the order I entered them.
Did I do something wrong or is that the way it displays the entries?
Thanks,
Rick

Hey Rick, yes, the fields will show in the order they were entered...
I have a slight case of OCD and if I want something in a particular order, I can NOT sleep (literally) if I can't get it the way I wanted it, so what I usually do is create a list of test entries for the building process and to see how it will look in the app... When I am ready to build the software for release, I then go in, delete the test entries and enter the actual list in the proper order...
HTH.

You did nothing wrong. This is the way to expect them. You have to run the software and go to the area where you want to make the changes. Right click on the page. The customization window will open...

Good luck,

Ok, J... Obviously you and I were separated at birth... That is EXACTLY what I just finished doing.
SCARY!
For this project, I decided to list the entries in alphabetical order... with the exception of the OTHER option, which I put at the end. :D
BTW, last night, I pretty much spent the whole night building software... a questionable improvement over when I was designing stage lighting in college and would spend an entire night's sleep climbing ladders, hanging, and focusing stage lights!

Ok, J... Obviously you and I were separated at birth...Must have been because...
...I decided to list the entries in alphabetical order... with the exception of the OTHER option, which I put at the end. :DThat is exactly how I do it as well (except when a specific order would be assumed, then I try to follow the order (sizes, numbers, statuses, weather, etc.))
Extremely scary now, eh? heheh...
Also, What I find has been helpful instead of putting OTHER, is to put something like [Enter Text Here...] and because most of my customers are repeat offenders, er, I mean customers, ;) I have now cut it down to just [Custom...]. This has drastically decreased the number of "can you add this, this and that option in your next update" type of support tickets...

EXCELLENT idea! I'll go change them right now! :D
Thanks, J!
