Error running software project

Get the following error running my software project:

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

This usually indicates that one of your fields within your software is missing a property editor selection. Make sure all your fields have property editors selected (text field, memo field, etc...)

I agree with Jonathon... that is the problem I have had when I get that message.

I find that in projects with multiple software objects, I can save time if I add each software project one at a time (in the order I want them to appear) . I hit save in between adding the SOs

That way, when I get that message, I know precisely WHICH SO is the guilty one... :)

I have a current project with over 20 SOs so it took a bit of time to do this, but it saved me an infinite amount of time trying to track the problem.

It could also be the way you named your Software Object or editor.
