I am really frustrated right now. I want to cuss up a storm, so I think I will---:D
((^&^&%)*&^(_*&(*Y(&T&%$&$*&*_)(+_&*%&$&$*&^%###$$##%^&*(_!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, got that out of my system.--heheheeee

I usually consider myself pretty handy with the computer. There are things I don't know enough yet like excel, etc. (but that is besides the point).

Here is my problem:

I am spending hours on the software. I get it almost the way I want it --then baaam, lost all my hours of work.
Now the reason for this is probably mine own doing. But I just can't seem to get passed it.
I has somewhat something to do with the software objects and names etc. I finally think I got it --but apparently not.
Actually, my problem is arising from the "project editors".

Ok, here is what I think causes it. I put in some project editors---then I "run" the software---now I am in the "customizing" ----decide I need more "project editors"---go add them---come back to add them in customizing---works fine for a bit---then I get some error--last time one move caused a whole page of em...So I delete that particular "project" thinking I am just going to start new--and add the customized "software object" to the new "software project" . Crap---gotta customize all over again!!! ARrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

I have lost software several times now---man, I was one item away from getting it like I wanted.

Ok, here is were my problem is an just wondering about it.

1st step --=is to create a "project"
2nd step---is to create "software objects" for it.
3rd step--customize it.
done!

I am sure others are getting along fine with it---but why is the extra step needed to add "Project editors"?????

This is where I totally loose it, cuss at screen, throw stuff---

I have been able to figure it out and get by that step--but still is where all problems arise.
Why not just have the project editors come up when customizing---add them---then rename to what you want.

Example---I add 2 currency editors----then decide I need 3 or 4 currency editors. Arrrrrghhhhhh!---gotta go back to add them in software object--then come back to software.

In customizing---the "empty space" and others are there for recall and unlimited use---why not project editors? (I realize it would cause a tall pop-up box)

Adding project editors always assumes you know exactly what you are going to include in the software---I never know until I get there what else I may need to add.

Ok, off my high horse now---May try again tonight----too frustrated to deal with it now.

I can't get off of this until I conquer it---I don't even want to think about calculations etc. ---ARrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh again!!!!:D

What I do now at this point----is add a bunch of extra property editors first---then customize---but still end up not adding something i end up needing--LOL

Gonna beat this thing yet---I am apparently just software challenged---heheheee

Great software if I ever get it conquered--hehee

Just don't throw the wife or any children and you will be fine. ;)

Playing around with the software is fine Glenn, but you should know what you want when you actually build something you want to sell.

There is a lot going on in the background that would make your head spin even more.

The software creates a database and it starts to get tougher and tougher when you decide to add more and more. That is where you can run into problems, not all the time but it can happen.

I am actually creating programming code in the background when you run the software. Normally the programming code is already created ahead of time but for this thing to run I have to generate the programming code while the software is being ran. That is why you can't add more editors to your creation when running it.

Otherwise it would be like the first version and only have a set amount of fields that you can add to each window. This gives you infinite amounts of fields (well not infinite because you don't want to kill the computer) while the previous version didn't. Yes the previous version was easier because it was just drag and drop but limited to the amount that you can drag or drop.

It is always better to make a list of what you want and then add them. Creating the software is the easy part. :) Figuring out what you want is the hard part.

Can you imagine doing this through programming. hehe

That is why I love this thing, it is a lot faster than actually programming it.

yeah, yeah, party pooper!--heheheee----you tell me I gotta know what I want first. That does make sense. But I was hoping you would not make sense---heeheehe

Guess that is why you included software task  :D Now I gotta actually plannnnnnnnnn this stuff out first.:p

Ok, I couldn't help myself--already started doing the software project again.

I will get this yet.

I like to use a mind map when laying out my ideas. I add a central piece for the software project itself and then add topics around the project for the windows or software objects. For each software object I add sub topics which are the editors.

Once that is all layed out, I fire up TSB and start creating the software objects. I don't even create the software project until I am done with the software objects.

Create the software project and then add all the software objects I just created. BAM done. Sometimes I forget and have to add a new field but it is very little to add at that time.

Hope this makes sense.

P.S. The tasks was create because there is more work when the software is created. hehe

Marketing, sales page, graphics and all the fun stuff needs to be put into place. You can keep track of that with the tasks. :)
