I also wanted to mention that you will have other revenue streams available besides the software itself.
I have been studying some of the main competitors within a market I am entering this week.
They have several revenue streams besides just the software.
Upgrades and Multiple Versions:
Upsell them on pro versions as well as yearly upgrades. You can even set this up as a yearly membership where they will get all upgrades for free while still paying. I love this idea. :)
Training:
Video training can be set up within a membership as well as pdf ebooks and so on...
Create your own community:
You can create a peer to peer community that will not only help you manage support, but also give you a avenue to post other products or affiliate products that will compliment your community.
Support:
Support makes them a huge amount of money. One company has a support forum but it is mainly a peer to peer support forum. In order to get phone support you have to pay a lot of money every year. Remember, if you target more business oriented people, then they are conditioned for these types of services.
