Hello all,

I have been trying to import layouts that I received from other people and having little success. I was wondering if anybody elese is having the same problem. I go to software project, then the miscellaneous tab, then import layout, screen drops down, enter the layout file and hit enter. It acts like it is importing, Tiger on screen then nothing. I hit the refresh and still nothing. Please advise.

PS: What ever happened to Dexx. I haven't seen him posting lately?

This will be changing pretty drastically. We will be going to a file based setup. Meaning you will have one file per software that you create instead of one central database and then copying the information over.

This will also be the way the Brander works. It works really nice in my new program and I am porting it over to the TSB versions.

I am looking at keeping a central database for Software Objects and Static Items that you can add to the software files. Far easier than the way it works.

P.S. I haven't seen Dexx. I noticed he was getting into offline stuff.

Thanks Thomas,

I guess I will need to contact the others after the update to get another copy.

Hi Roland,

Is the software freezing? Does it bring up the importing tiger icon? You should still be able to import it.

SO the Tiger Icon that says importing comes up and it closes itself then nothing?

Did you try to refresh the list? Can you send me the layout file Roland and I will test it myself.

Thomas,

I am using Vista 32 bit OS.

Sorry I confused you I just followed the directions in the help PDF to import a layout. My wife says I confuse her sometime too, but she's chinese. So I just tell her it's the American way.

hehe, no you didn't confuse me but the layout not importing for you is confusing me. Thanks for the video which did help.

I laughed because my wife is Russian and I confuse her all the time. I also get by with a few things by telling her it is how we do it in America. lol

Roland, I can't recreate the problem you are having which makes this impossible for me to solve. I am changing the way this works anyway. Can you wait until I get the new update up later this week or early next week?

You will still be able to use the same layout files.

Unless you can test this out on a different computer to let me know what happens. I would also like it if others can test out the importing on their computers. Like I said, it worked for me every time I tested it.

Hello Thomas,

I tried it on my XP computer at home and it worked fine. So, Maybe it is just my Vista computer. Thanks for all your work. I will wait for the update to see if it works on my vista computer.

Thanks again,

Roland

I am on Vista 32 bit as well. That is why I don't know what is interfering. Did this work previously?
