I'm really good at finding domains, but I'm kinda torn as to what we are making here. Maybe it's two target markets, people we give or sell to, the end user, and people we sell a customized database to, that they sell (the middle guy).

So for end users, they aren't really thinking they need a "database" they need words like:

organizer, solution, diary, log, scheduler etc.

and the other one needs:

database, software, designer, PLR software, etc.

I was going to with something ending in software.com but can't find anything available I like. Now I'm rethinking what we have here.

What do you think we are?

Are we talking about selling one software product or many?

If it is one then try to get your keyword into the name of the software as well as the domain.

Don't think of software itself, think of how it helps the person. Benefits is the key. They don't care if there is a database.

They want to be able to use it easily and have it take care of a problem.

So for PLR software... they will be making money right?

ViralSoftwareThatMakesYouMoney.com :D

Short and sweet huh.

How about a membership where you release software everymonth.

MonthlySoftwareCash.com

Something like that. Try to add the benefit into the domain unless you are going for a branding like Tiger Software, The Software That Makes You Money. ;)

oooh, Viral, I like that

I'm thinking of selling many, I have a list of 50 projects to consider. But now that I'm going through the videos again, I'm getting even more ideas, and they are getting farther away from being databases. (what's better than a screen shot in a tutorial? how about the real screen )

I think I have to pick a side to focus on, and it feels like a membership site is a more profitable way to go.

Anyway, thanks for Viral, that's the triggers I need - I've been thinking too hard about this lately. (now who's not getting sleep :D )

And I'm mad at Roxio for not locking up the domain name for one of their products.(I bought it without checking, :( it would have been perfect)

The nice thing about memberships is you can crank out all the products at first then concentrate on building the membership or working other ideas.

People love viral marketing. Software is one of the best viral tools you can use. I think the odds of you creating something viral with software are far greater than anything I have seen, even video.

Edited: I really think that by giving them private label rights with the Tiger Brander will really knock your membership out of the park. That was one of the reasons I created the Brander.

I am going to do some testing on this but I want to target particular keywords for software products. I can use the same product and call it different things and even make it look different (even if it still is the same software application).

So, I will have a web page for the one product with the keyword in the domain. The software name will have the keyword and I will also upload it to many software directories. I really think that people will find your software in those directories when you use your keyword in the name.

I use a general sounding domain name for a site from which to launch all my software and just make a new page for each product as it is ready. I use XsitePro to build and manage the site, so it is really easy to add products.

You can get your site up and running by stocking it with other people's software and just add your own as they are built. A store with many items is more attractive than a store with only one rug or chair or whatever.

Filling the store with other products is great idea, Thanks.

A generic name is good too for hanging subdomains on if you want to feature 1 product.

I think I'll use my name for the LLC, there are going to be two or three domains, I can feel it...

Great idea Alton. The page itself can have keywords in it.

I am going to test out both. One site with just a sales page and another with a store.
