View Full Version : Using Video

I just used a service called Animoto that takes music and picture to create cool videos. It is free or $30 per year for a larger video.

I uploaded the video to YouTube. I set this up on the main site and have it auto play whenever someone goes to the site. This helps me increase my view count on YouTube.

Now I will be driving traffic and hopefully will get some traffic from YouTube as my views increase.

You can see the new video on my site http://tsmaker.com

Way to go T... I heard about Animoto a few months back, but haven't tried them out yet. How are they?

Also, I didn't realize autostarting the video increases view counts. I will have to try that out.

Sure does. I just uploaded it and now I have 20 views. :)

I think Animoto is pretty easy. It takes a little time to generate but emails you when it is done. It also allows you to upload to YouTube right from their site. Pretty cool.

You can go with the business plan which leaves off the Animoto logo. I wanted to test it first before forking over hundreds of dollars.

I did pay for larger videos which was only $30 a year.

Damn it, and I'm the only subscriber (well, replier) to this thread, so chances are, no one else got the email, heheheh... You lucked out this time. Next time? maybe, maybe not - only time will tell...

I made a video a while back. Even though I've had a TSB license since
the beginning I haven't actually marketed software much, though I gave
away a few aps to my list... just because, partially, I have other projects
and partially because there is always a new feature on the horizon to
make the software cooler, so I put-off doing salesletters and releasing
stuff.

Anyway, here's the video: http://copymatch.com/Viral-Software.html

Video stuff is sort of a specialty for what I do in my copywriting/consulting
business. There's some technology to what I do, but you can see that
the core of what I did (in this case) was just using Camtasia and the callout
feature.

Hope it gives you some ideas.

Looks fantastic Loren. I love how you sped up the video showing how you entered in the information. How did you do that? I definitely want to do some more stuff like your video.

I think I just recorded a Camtasia video with a few frames per second
and I chopped out stuff where I was screwing around and being slow...

So I might type in a few characters in one field, and then I cut out all
the frames until I finish typing the 2nd or 3rd field... it almost looks
like I was using a macro.

It's an effect I just sort of blundered into - I wasn't trying to really show
how to work the software, just show off the interface mostly.
