Error on Install of new program!!!

Hello Thomas,

I have attached a picture of a error I get on my Vista 32 computer when I try to install a new program that I have just finished. Thomas, have you seen this error before? I will try to install the program on my XP computer but I would also like to know why it won't install on my vista computer.


I have also noticed that when I use a space on the left side of the screen when doing customization the screen likes to collapse most of the time. I don't know if anyone else is having the same problem. Also, some fields are grouping on thier own. Everything looks good with the customization but when you bring the screen back up things either have shifted or field group themselves. Must be ghost in my computer!!! It is starting to get scary!!!!

Hey Roland, I'm not sure what's causing your error, so you will have to wait for T on that one, BUT,
when your done with the GhostBusters, could you please send them to my place because I've always
had the same exact issue.

I have come up with a way to group them myself not allowing them to group themselves...

I will be doing a video tutorial soon on this exact subject showing exactly what I do (involves editing the
groups manually)... I will let you know once I have the video finished and uploaded to the member area
of my WBI site.

Hi Roland,

That is weird on the groupings. I just did a pretty big program and the layouts worked with no problems at all. This is on the new version so hopefully that upgrade will fix it.

How many times did you run create the setup? Is this the first time you created the setup for this project?

I just ran the create again and even changed the name of the software. I received the same error when I tried to install the software.

This program has 37 software objects with 46 relationships. I am afraid to take the TSBClient file from my Vista computer and copy it onto my Xp computer for fear it will mess up the TSBPro on the XP. Since I cannot export a layout I am stuck until the update which I hope will fix all.

I just created a old project of mine on the Vista and it installed fine on my Vista computer. So, it must be in this large programs file that the error is occuring.

Can you send me the layout file to test? It shouldn't be the size of the program. This looks more like a installation problem. It is weird that other projects are installing good. Are you installing from a network drive?

I cannot export a layout until the new update comes out. No export of layout since I updated the TSBPro and it eliminated the export layout function.

Yes, it is a big program and all coming off one navigation.

I just updated again to 1.00025 and yes the layout export function was there. I just sent you the layout of the program. Hope it worked.

HI Roland,

I am going to email you a setup file. I need you to test it on your computer. It worked fine on mine.

BTW, I love how you designed the window by using the relationships. Gives it a nice dashboard look. That was one of the tutorials I was going to do. Pretty smart, figuring it out for yourself.

I also have this problem Roland. Usually happens if I insert a blank space on the left after grouping my fields. Sometimes if I ungroup them, delete the space, add a new space, then regroup them, it will work, but not all the time. It's very frustrating and sometimes I have to just forget adding a space on the left. :(

I tried the exe file you sent and recieved the same error on install.

Thanks for the compliment. I still want to add the password protection for privacy reasons. Then I also need to see if I can do some reports. Then it will be ready.

Strange, the installation worked for me with no problems. I am not sure what is happening but it seems local to your machine. I will try it on a clean xp virtual machine and get back to you.

I just sent you an email. I got the install to work. Please read email. I had to remove all traces of previous versions of the program from my computer to get it to work properly.
