I play poker around 20 hours a week. My little brother plays poker as a full time endeavor. We both take it seriously and know that on average good tournament players make about 20% on their investment per year.
I have a program for the iPhone that tracks my progress and how much money I buy in for and cash out for, the games I play, the locations and finally amount of time spent so I can figure my per hour return on investment.
I wrote a software package in TSB to do the same for players without iphones, many of which keep the data currently in a notepad they keep in their pocket. I have given it out for free while testing it in my market but will attach a decent price tag once testing is done and especially when I have Reports and Charts working.
An example of taking what used to be a hobby (now a profitable venture) and building software around it.
I would bet there are a lot of hobbies and sports that would benefit from software like this. Sports stats, etc.
