Say you got a Software Object and you need something almost identical but with another editor. You don't really want to change the existing Software Object because you are using it in some other Software Projects.
Instead of recreating the whole Software Object, just click the clone button and it will make an copy of the existing one. It will also have all the property editors, browsers, static text, hyperlink and banners already attached to the new Software Object.
Then all you need to do is add a new editor and done.
Very fast...
You can also allow your end users to use the same type of functionality by clicking the Clonable checkbox on the Software Object.

I'm confused now.
Where do we find this clone button?

Steve,
The clone is a check box on the window when you create a Software Object.
Thomas,
Thanks for pointing out the cloning feature. Now, how do you completely purge a software object. After deleting one, I still see it in the Navigation sidebar.

Hi Daniel,
I am not sure I follow when you talk about the navigation sidebar. Can you put up a picture showing me what you are talking about?
Thanks,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
I attached the file. On the left Navigation side you'll see the object "Product Lines". I have deleted this object 'cause I got screwed up and can't fix it to make it work. I think naming convention again. So you see it is still in Navigation, but the object is no longer in my Software Object list.

Thanks Daniel.
It seems to be a bug then if you deleted the Software Object. I will take a look and see what is going on.
Thanks,
Thomas
