Once you've created an application in TSB, how do you get the word out? What sites do you promote your software on and what submitting software do you use to submit it to all the shareware sites out there?

Just interested in what people have used or currently use. Also, it would be good to know sites and software to stay away from.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Cheers, Jon

I used robosoft once. It is available from:
http://robosoft.rudenko.com/

The other one I've heard of, but never used is Promosoft:

There are probably others. Thomas may know more, cause he's used them lots :)

I use Robosoft. You can use it for free for the first month.

You can also promote using the normal internet marketing techniques you may have already been using.

Article Marketing,
SEO,
PPC,
PPV,
Social Sites and so on...

This is just another product. The marketing will be the same. The great thing is that software has a higher value compared to what other marketers are selling online. Find your niche markets and create software for them. Small business is extremely lucrative. I will be getting into a yearly subscription on my software product that should make me some decent cashflow. I think it will be better than the monthly subscriptions. I am still setting up a sales funnel for my products.

Getting the word out using mass submitting software is not as beneficial as you might think.

Check out this article:

I am not sure if I got that referred from this forum or from one of the blogs I am subscribed to, but it does paint an interesting picture concerning the legitimacy of software listing sites.
