prevent unauthorized re-distribution some how?

Basically similar to what Bryxen Software and Brad/Matt Callen use...each time you open one of their applications, it runs a server check somewhere on the email used to register the software.

If the email has been deactivated (perhaps multiple IPs using the same email for the software) then it will state invalid email used and to register or re-enter an authorized email.

Is this a possibility currently, if not, possibly in the future?

I'd just hate to create a great piece of software, and then everyone just emails out the .exe to their friends to avoid payment :(

[now I know how Microsoft feels! haha]

I will have something next year for registration. It will take some work but I have figured it out finally how I want to do it.

It will be something that you will have on your server. That way you have total control. I am also going to look into adding a affiliate program to it kind of like RAP. Or I will create a add-on to RAP.

The thing you need to remember Dexx, most of those people that are sharing wouldn't purchase anyway. I do think we should take all necessary precautions to avoid it but not to worry about it too much. :)

I hope you see some of those profits that Microsoft gets. ;)

P.S. Make sure you add some banners and websites just in case people do share. You might make some money from the sharing if they purchase something else. hehe
