So I'm sitting my my home office brainstorming the millions and millions of niches, ideas, concepts, etc that exist in the world...

and I'm thinking (generically):

1) Create $27 software product with 75% commission on Clickbank (low enough price to make for an easy sale especially on a extremely useful product, and high enough commissions to make it worth while to at least promote)

2) Offer an upsell after the purchase for $77 / $97 for full re-sell rights to the product, informing them that they would be able to add in their own custom banners with affiliate links, customize the look of the software to make it seem more "theirs" etc.

3) On the main homepage of the software, inform users to enter their emails to be registered for future software updates (that way I can collect and build a huge list from my sales, and the sales of re-sellers)

How does this sound for a template business model to do for each software release in a niche?
Does it make more sense to do it this way?

How would I go about doing resell rights in this way? I wouldn't want someone to be able to just buy the $27 product and just download the brander on their own!

[I havent had a chance to play with the software as I just bought it last night then went to bed, and have just been brainstorming since! Maybe this answered already :P ]

What differs in files/documents from a regular software distribution (I'd assume its just an .exe file) and a software that has resell rights/branding ability?

Cheers all!

Sounds great Dexx,

You won't have to worry about your customers branding it. They can't brand the exe file. They will need a .lyt file that you create with TSB.
They can only brand it by importing that .lyt file into Tiger Software Brander.

That is if you check the branding function. If you create a .lyt file without checking the Branding then Tiger Software Brander will not brand it.

So you sell the main program and give them the exe file. That is what they use to install the program.

You hit them with a upsell for Private Label rights where they can make it look completely different and call it their own.

They purchase the Private Label Rights and you send them the .lyt file and the link to the Tiger Software Brander download page.

Does this make sense? If not you can check out the videos of Tiger Software Brander. It shows how I imported a .lyt file that was created with TSB.

I really think the ability of branding alone will make us all a lot of money.

Hey Dex,
I'm pretty sure that to use the brander, you need the exported software layout file.
So unless you sell your layout to someone, they cant rebrand it.
Steve:)

Oh well Thomas beat me to the post.

Ah that makes a ton of sense Thomas and clears up a lot!

Wow the potential for this is believable, like I was mentioning to you in the PMs on the Warrior Forum, I've always had a passion for software creation as I am a very creative person and love thinking up new ideas!

But wow, this just makes me shake my head at all the time I wasted on article marketing, and adwords promotions for other people's products...my biggest problem? I couldn't see myself writing an ebook to sell on ClickBank!

Software is really the balancing factor nowadays, and I will definitely be watching the marketing style of the Brad/Matt Callen's, Jon Ledgers etc. that have built their businesses around supplying software solutions to aspiring business owners.

On a side note, what do you think of the whole 75% commission for affiliates? Seems most of the Top software sellers on clickbank use that percentage point, but do you think affiliate would still be eager to promote a $27 product if it was 70% commission? or even 65%?

I was thinking that 65% would give them $18 a sale (with a huge bump on the resell rights conversions) and allow me to make $10 a sale instead of $7

Or do you think $20 a sale, at 75% is a lot more attractive to affiliates (especially super affiliates with big lists) and me being an "unknown" creator of software products?

If the offer converts than people will sell.

I am setting up a affiliate program with RAP right now.

You can use Clickbank and I would also do your own program with RAP. Affiliates love to get paid instantly and it really is a selling point for them.

Clickbank has a lot of affiliates constantly looking over the marketplace. It is a good place to post and I think 70% is the maximum. If you can give them a cut of the OTO then it would really make it enticing. Don't worry about losing money because you will have a lot more software products to sell to them.

I always liked software. I hate writing articles or ebooks. Software sells better imo. It also is easier to get higher prices because people see it as more valuable.

You can set this up to get paid for the software itself and to make money after you sell the software by including banners and any websites that will be shown in the software. I built this not just for software creation but also as a marketing tool to be used.

You can build a optin list with this software as well. It works really well.
