Hi Thomas,
I just created a new software, setup my layout, and input some data for the first record, everything was going good. I created different setup exes with and without passwords, working good.
I installed my software, and my layout is like if I had done nothing but input fields. The data I input is there, but the layout reverted back to start.
Any Ideas on why this is happening?

I believe its a currently known issue about the layouts?
Its either that, or just the ability to export the layout design function isnt working...
one of the two :P
Hrmmm weird, I just customized my layout in this demo program I'm making, and it was saving fine.
But now that I closed it and re-opened it, a lot of the location have shifted over on themselves...I can drag them back, and then save...
but when I close and reopen the object they move back!

Yea Dexx, I'm having the same problem. Everything works good, then when I reopen it has shifted back.

I was able to fix just now be deleting the empty space on the left side.
Maybe its a problem with the empty spaces adjusting themselves?
It was just the one space for me, and now that it's gone everything is staying in place...
try that out?

Well let me know when you create your software and install it, if it still stays the same. Thats the other problem I'm having.

Hi Thomas,
No its not saving, and I dont know why. I guess I should have tested it before, but I wasn't ready to create my .exe yet.
I guess I have about 15 or 20 fields, 1 browser window, a few url links, and 3 calculations.
I just checked again and its not saving.
Also, I dragged some fields off the grid because there were too many fields there, and they all reverted back to start.

Do you all mean that your customizations are not being saved? I had a little trouble with that. I think it is important to make the customizations and then close. When the little winder asks if you want to save your changes, I click "no". Then, I make any other changes to other pages within the software, then close the software out. I don't profess to really understand all the workings, but that is working for me.

Hi Alton,
Yes its my customizations that go away. Are you saying when you click no to saving changes, it saves your layout? Have you installed your final product to check?
I will try again today.

Yes, I click 'No" to saving changes. Then, I completely close out the software product. And, go back into the builder and run the software product agin. In most if not all cases, I find the customizations as I left them when I open the software product.
Yes, I have done this and have several products completed. When I set them up on my computer, they are customized as I did them.
